Why we started Code Caravan
Code Caravan did not start because the world needed another software agency. It started because of a pattern we kept seeing — and kept being frustrated by.
A client hires an agency. They speak to a confident salesperson. Then the work quietly gets handed to people they never met, progress turns into vague status updates, and the price drifts. By the time anyone is honest about where things stand, the budget is gone and trust is broken.
The model we deliberately rejected
Most agencies optimise for headcount and utilisation. They keep a bench of juniors busy and route you through layers of account management. That is great for the agency’s margins. It is rarely great for your product.
We chose the opposite structure on purpose. Code Caravan is founder-led and specialist-matched: for every project a founder personally scopes the work and assembles a small team of vetted senior developers suited to your stack. No idle bench you end up funding. No telephone game.
When your name is on the work, you do not hide behind a process. You own the outcome.
What “honest by default” actually means
It means we tell you upfront if we are the wrong fit. It means a written scope and a fixed quote before code is written. It means weekly progress on a private staging link from day one — so you are never asked to “just trust us”. And it means you own 100% of the code and IP, in writing.
We are a new studio. We will not pretend otherwise with fake logos or invented case studies. Instead we remove your risk, show real working proof, and let the work earn the trust. That is the whole idea.
If that sounds like the kind of team you have been looking for, the rest of this blog will show you exactly how we think and work — in the open.

How we actually run a project
Free discovery, a written scope, a fixed quote, weekly staging from day one, and zero financial risk before you commit. Here is the whole process.
PrinciplesWhy we don’t fake testimonials — and what we show instead
A new agency padding its site with stock photos and invented five-star quotes is the oldest tell in the book. Here is the harder, honest alternative.
